It was back in March this year when the Minnesota Vikings traded Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks for a boatload of Boston terrorists. Or, as REAL football writers would call it, a first round pick in 2013 and some other stuff. Percy signed a new contract with the Seahawks, the Vikings were left without a receiver, and everyone (including myself!) crapped their loins because they were pissed off.
Well ... Well ...... This maybe worked out for us. At least this year. Because Percy is having surgery this year to repair a hip injury, he'll be out for like 4-6 months, and oh my God are Vikings fans loving this right now.
Here's my obligatory "BOY, I SURE DON'T WISH INJURY UPON ANY PLAYER IN THE NFL THAT'S MAKING MORE MONEY THAN I'LL EVER JERK IT TO, AND THIS SURGERY IS SOMETHING THAT THEY'LL NEVER THINK ABOUT IN TWO WEEKS ANYWAY AND OF COURSE I DON'T MEAN ANY OF THIS", so here's to Percy getting better.
But what about other Vikings fans? What are they thinking? We took a quick Twitter poll last night to find out!
Boy, you people are really upset.
So? Did the Vikings get the better end of this deal, both short and long term? Let's air our grievances today.

So if I'm doing my math right, Percy could possibly be back and available around Week 10 or Week 11. Let's just see who the Seahawks play in Week 11... oh %&*#%&! Now I know God is just fucking with us.
That being said... I'm really enjoying this moment right now. The favorite thing I've read so far was a comment on the Seattle newspaper's story on the surgery from a guy called "MNHawk" who wrote:
"As a MN resident I am really regretting all the needling of my Viking coworkers back in March. Tomorrows payback will suck"
Ya know... every few years the stars align for this franchise and hope springs. This feels like one of those years. I've already begun to prepare for the inevitable taint punch.
