This week is one of the Minnesota Vikings Organized Team Activities, or OTA's, or I don't know what they're doing. I haven't been paying attention. I've been far too busy remembering that Purple Jesus is a god. But apparently things aren't going too hot for Christian Ponder. He threw three ugly interceptions during a practice round yesterday (Same with new QB Matt Cassel, but he's not here for his quarterback arm, rather, just his arm candy), and even the "cool" video that Vikings.com highlighted from yesterday's practice where Ponder threw a touchdown to Greg Jennings, have you ever seen a worse touchdown pass? I mean, aside from the throw to Michael Jenkins against the Packers at the end of the regular season last year. Awful.
Point being, apparently Ponder still could use a little QB coaching, and so that's why the Vikings brought in Jeff George. YUP.
So yeah, Jeff George made an appearance this week at camp as "guest coach" for players to interact with, pick his brain, and learn from his experience. As a guy that could probably still throw the ball further than any QB on our roster - and if not further than Joe Webb could throw it, at least more accurate - he seems like he'd be a decent resource to have around.
So how is Christian Ponder using this access to a veteran NFL quarterback?
|"We haven't talked a whole lot," Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder said.|
What the hell.
Anyway, thanks to this new of Jeff George's appearance, a fine person on Reddit found and shared the comic below, which I believe accurately sums up this post. Can't wait for football season to start!! *cries*

Once again more moronic drivel from the pjd site. birk is a fascist? lol funny stuff. and also a dickhead? a pro bowl hall of gamer DH for the record dipshit. just cuz he took a stand against something he feels strongly about, just like your friend kluwe did. but we aren't afforded the same airtime it seems on your site. once again a site that has nothing to do with football. moderator and site needs a giant douche. off the internet. for those that email me just lettin ya know they just go to spam and get automatically deleted. go vikes. and pjd, pls find a different team. even our guy 28 isnt on the same page as your left wing liberal pro abortion same sex comments. that would bother me if i was using his namesake on a webpage dope.
@gstlookin2005 Thank God (!!!!!) Wehave someone out there keepin these homo lovers in line! I'd hate to see what would happen to Merica if they ever get a hold of the Constitution! Mass chaos, I 'spect! Now, lets git back to talkin' football!!
As for the Vikes, I think their D-Line should be the best since they had ol Esera Tuaolo playin for 'em! SKOL!!
@gstlookin2005 Who is this "we" you are referring to?
And why would anyone bother emailing you?
1) That comic was hilarious
2) This is likely a stepping stone for Jeff George's foray into coaching. "Guest" coaches tend to keep quite and observe a bazillion percent of the time, and rarely speak up to say anything. This is more about Mr. 1999 than it is about Ponder.
3) Any comment on Birk snubbing Obama?
@peterandkelsey Yes. He's a fascist dick head. Get over yourself, Matt.
@PJD If Kluwe had skipped a White House trip because Obama said something Kluwe didn't like, you'd be singing his praises, I'm guessing. Am I wrong? (Calmer than you are)
One poses on the cover of "Out" magazine, what a noble crusader! The other takes a stand against 330,000 deaths a day, what a "fascist dick head"!
I may be intolerant, but at least I'm honest and consistent about it. A majority of the "open" and "tolerant" crowd is more intolerant than I am, and they lie through their teeth about it.
Politics. Religion. Football.
@onefast6 @peterandkelsey I thought it was pretty common knowledge that Birk didn't care for Moss near the end of their time together in Minnesota. Both Birk and Culpepper confronted Moss in the locker room after a game to tell him to shape up. That confrontation was probably warranted, but Birk was also leaned on as a veteran in the locker room at that time when Red McCombs was deciding what to do with Randy. Birk wasn't sorry to see him go, and voiced his opinion as such.
Does that mean "Birk was the driving force for Moss getting kicked out"? Maybe not solely, but he played a part.
Oh, OK.Did you get my Big Lebowski reference?
@peterandkelsey Oh. I thought we were being sarcastic.
Birk is still stupid. I never liked him since he was the driving force for kicking Moss out. Not going to see the President of the USA is stupid whoever you are. Because he's taking a stand against 330,000 deaths a day? Because not shaking hands with the President is going to save all of those lives? Maybe he could have gone there, spoke to him, voiced his concerns, and acted like a normal person.
