Vikings Sign Matt Cassel's Wife to the Team
The Minnesota Vikings knew they were heading into the offseason with many questions on their roster. As free agency neared this week, some of those questions marks became huge holes that need emergency fillings as the team traded away their best receiver, cut their best cornerback, and still have questions at linebacker, defensive tackle, and more.
One area that flew under the radar until this week, however, was addressing the lack of "Wives and Girlfriends", or WAGs, of players on the team. Obviously as a top priority, this deficiency was addressed late Thursday when the Vikings announced that they had signed Lauren Killian, former Kansas City Chief's starting quarterback Matt Cassel's wife, to a short term deal to bring her talents and attractive face to the Twin Cities.
It ends up being a great deal for the Vikings, and Lauren Killian appeared to be a highly sought after talent during this free agency period. As a former University of Southern California volleyball player, she's clearly athletic and takes great care of her body, leaving her in fantastic shape and spirits. She makes a fine addition to other team WAGs including Adrian Peterson's girlfriend Ashley Brown, top-notch talent in Samantha Ponder, MILF of the NFC North Cheryl Kalil, and of course Chris Kluwe's wife. Lauren will join this group naturally, and should be a natural fit according to our inside sources.
Said one higher level decision maker in the organization to Purple Jesus Diaries, "Lauren Killian just brings so much diversity to this team now. In a state dominated by Scandinavian ancestry, bringing in someone with beautiful, thick brunette hair and a Californian flair just makes a world of difference. Her smile is electric, and she's extremely amiable. We're so lucky to have her joining this organization and are excited about her future here.
"She's also bringing her husband, quarterback Matt Cassel with her, and so we're going to try to find a role for him in the organization as well."
So welcome Lauren and her husband Matt to Minnesota. It should be an exciting time with her around, and I'm sure both staff within the Vikings organization and the fans will learn much from her.

Yay! Now the Vikings have two solid backup QBs with hot wives. Maybe they are planning to trade for Drew Brees yet!

Glad to see the Vikings are taking the offseason seriously. This team can finally compete with the Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's of the NFL.
